वैश्वदेवेन हीना ये हीनाश्चातिथ्यतोऽपि ये । कर्मणा सर्ववृषला वेदयुक्ता ह्यपि द्विजाः
vaiśvadevena hīnā ye hīnāścātithyato'pi ye | karmaṇā sarvavṛṣalā vedayuktā hyapi dvijāḥ
Wer das Vaiśvadeva-Opfer vernachlässigt und wer auch in der Gastfreundschaft gegenüber Gästen mangelhaft ist—durch sein Tun ist er ganz wie ein vṛṣala (niederer Mensch), selbst wenn er „zweimalgeboren“ ist und selbst wenn er vedische Gelehrsamkeit besitzt.
