वातपित्तादि जनितास्तथा च विषमज्वराः । दूरादेव पलायंते श्रुत्वा स्तुतिमिमां शुभाम्
vātapittādi janitāstathā ca viṣamajvarāḥ | dūrādeva palāyaṃte śrutvā stutimimāṃ śubhām
由风(vāta)、胆(pitta)等所生诸病,乃至不调与剧烈之热病;一闻此吉祥赞颂,便自远处遁逃。
Durgā (Devī)
Tirtha: Kāśī-kṣetra (Devī-stuti as ārogya-śānti)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devotee/practitioner; also household audience listening to the phala-śruti
Scene: Personified diseases—vāta/pitta disorders and severe fevers—are shown fleeing at a distance upon hearing the auspicious hymn, while the devotee sits in calm devotion under Devī’s grace.
Auspicious sacred sound (stuti/śravaṇa) is presented as a purifier that drives away suffering and disease.
The hymn’s power is taught within the Kāśī Khaṇḍa narrative framework associated with Kāśī’s sanctity.
Hearing (or reciting so it is heard) this auspicious stuti is itself described as efficacious.
