सीताया वनगमननिश्चयः
Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest
स्वर्गेऽपि च विना वासो भविता यदि राघव।त्वया मम नरव्याघ्र नाहं तमपि रोचये।।।।
svarge 'pi ca vinā vāso bhavitā yadi rāghava |
tvayā mama naravyāghra nāhaṃ tam api rocaye ||
罗伽婆啊,人中之虎,若使我即便住在天界却离你而居,我连那天界也不愿求。
O Raghava, tiger among men, if I were given heaven to live in without you, even that I shall not covet.
Dharma ranks relationships and duty above comfort: righteous attachment to one’s rightful companion outweighs even celestial enjoyment.
Sītā rejects the very idea of being kept safe or honored elsewhere if it means separation from Rāma.
Loyalty and integrity of love—she refuses benefits that contradict her chosen dharma.
