The Account of Hanumān
ध्याये न किंचिद्गोविंदनमस्ये ह न किंचन । किंतु नास्तिकजंतूनां प्रवृत्त्यर्थमिदं मया ॥ २०० ॥
dhyāye na kiṃcidgoviṃdanamasye ha na kiṃcana | kiṃtu nāstikajaṃtūnāṃ pravṛttyarthamidaṃ mayā || 200 ||
在此我并不观想任何事,也不为私利而向戈文达(Govinda)顶礼。相反,我这样做只是为了激发那些不信神者,走向正当的修行与善行。
Narada (in an instructional/narrative voice within the Vedanga-focused section; framed as teaching meant to turn the irreverent toward dharma)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It states that sacred teaching and praise are offered without personal motive, primarily to redirect atheistic or indifferent minds toward dharma and a God-centered life.
It presents bhakti as compassionate outreach: salutations to Govinda are not a transaction for rewards, but a means to awaken faith and constructive spiritual engagement (pravṛtti) in those lacking it.
The verse emphasizes the didactic purpose behind śāstric composition—using disciplined speech and instruction to shape pravṛtti—an applied principle relevant to Vedanga-based pedagogy (especially the correct intent behind teaching and recitation).
