在使人屈服之法、在恐惧与争讼之时;在家宅与战斗所生之危难中;在赌博、令他人目光凝滞之术、播下怨憎之行,以及同样在毁灭性的“玛拉那”(māraṇa)作法中——皆可施用此法。

Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka

The verse catalogues specific worldly crises where mantra-prayoga is said to be applied, showing the Purana’s Third Pada focus on technical disciplines and pragmatic ritual remedies alongside higher dharma.
Indirectly: it presents ritual techniques as situational aids, while the broader Narada Purana frames lasting protection and right conduct as grounded in devotion and dharmic restraint rather than mere coercive power.
Applied mantra-prayoga vocabulary (e.g., vaśya, stambhana, māraṇa) reflects technical ritual science and disciplined formula-usage—an applied, practice-oriented strand often discussed alongside auxiliary sciences in the Purana’s Vedanga-focused section.
