Narada (teaching in a technical Vedanga/mantra context to the Sanatkumara tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It emphasizes śabda (sacred sound) as a dharmic means for health and longevity, teaching that properly formed mantra—framed by tāra (Oṃ) and correct vowel-length—supports well-being and a full life-span.
While technical, it aligns with bhakti through disciplined japa: reverent, accurate chanting (with tāra/Oṃ) becomes an act of worship, where devotion is expressed as careful adherence to mantra-vidhi.
Śikṣā (phonetics) is highlighted: the rule of “ṣaḍ-dīrgha” (six long vowels) and the use of tāra-saṃpuṭa (Oṃ as a framing device) show how pronunciation and structure are treated as essential to mantra efficacy.
