पुराऽसीत्पार्थिवोनाम इंद्रसेनो महीपतिः । तस्याऽसीत्सुप्रिया भार्या सुनन्दानाम भामिनी । पतिव्रता पतिप्राणा सदा पत्युः प्रिये स्थिता

Thuở xưa có một vị vua tên Indrasena, chúa tể cõi đất. Vợ yêu của ngài là phu nhân Sunandā—người nữ giữ trọn hạnh pativratā, xem chồng là sinh mệnh, luôn an trú trong điều làm chồng hoan hỷ.
