यथा सुप्तो न गृह्णाति किंचिद्भोगादिकं नरः । तथा देवाश्च यज्ञांशान्न गृह्णन्ति कथं चन

yathā supto na gṛhṇāti kiṃcidbhogādikaṃ naraḥ | tathā devāśca yajñāṃśānna gṛhṇanti kathaṃ cana

Như người đang ngủ không thật sự thọ hưởng bất cứ khoái lạc hay đối tượng giác quan nào, cũng vậy chư thiên tuyệt nhiên không nhận các phần tế lễ khi thiếu điều kiện thích đáng (tỉnh thức/đủ tư cách).
