तस्मात्कुरुत विप्रेंद्रा यथोक्तं शांतिकं मम । न पुत्रश्च राष्ट्रं च विभवश्च विवर्धते

Transliteration

tasmātkuruta vipreṃdrā yathoktaṃ śāṃtikaṃ mama | na putraśca rāṣṭraṃ ca vibhavaśca vivardhate

Translation

Vì vậy, hỡi các bậc Bà-la-môn tối thượng, xin hãy cử hành cho ta nghi lễ an tức (śāntika) đúng như đã dạy; nếu không, thì con trai ta, vương quốc ta và phú quý ta đều chẳng thể hưng thịnh.
