विष्णुरुवाच । पूज्या यत्पुत्रतां यान्ति न कदाचिच्छ्रुतं मया । शुभे ददामि पुत्रांस्ते देवतुल्यपराक्रमान् । रूपवन्तो गुणोपेतान्यज्विनश्च बहुश्रुतान्
viṣṇuruvāca | pūjyā yatputratāṃ yānti na kadācicchrutaṃ mayā | śubhe dadāmi putrāṃste devatulyaparākramān | rūpavanto guṇopetānyajvinaśca bahuśrutān
Viṣṇu phán: “Ôi bậc đáng tôn kính, ta chưa từng nghe rằng các vị thần đáng thờ phụng lại đi vào thân phận làm con. Tuy vậy, ôi người cát tường, ta ban cho nàng những người con: dũng mãnh như chư thiên, dung mạo đoan nghiêm, đầy đủ đức hạnh, chuyên tâm nơi tế lễ (yajña), và học rộng nghe nhiều.”
