yastatra kurute śrāddhaṃ pitṝnuddiśya bhāvitaḥ | tadakṣayaṃ bhavecchrāddhaṃ pitṝṇāṃ tṛptikārakam
Sūta
Type: ghat
Listener: Ṛṣayaḥ
Scene: Riverbank śrāddha: a devotee seated on kuśa grass, offering piṇḍa and tila-water with añjali; pitṛs depicted subtly as satisfied luminous ancestors receiving offerings; brāhmaṇas present.
Dharma includes gratitude to forebears; tīrthas magnify such rites, making offerings spiritually enduring.
The same tīrtha where Gaṅgā abides and where the Viśvāmitra-linked waters are praised.
Śrāddha performed there with intention toward the Pitṛs yields akṣaya (imperishable) merit and Pitṛ-satisfaction.
