tilo'si somadaivatyo gosave devanirmitaḥ | pratnavadbhiḥ pṛktaḥ svadhayā pitṝnimāṃllokānprīṇāhi naḥ svadheti prakṣipettilān
Skanda (deduced)
Type: ghat
Scene: The performer pinches black sesame seeds and lets them fall into the arghya offering while chanting a long svadhā-laden mantra; a faint moon-symbol (Soma) motif appears in the background to signify the sesame’s deity.
Offerings carry symbolic power: tila, sanctified by Soma and svadhā, becomes a vehicle to nourish and please the ancestors.
The verse focuses on pitṛ-rite materials (tila) rather than naming a particular tīrtha.
Chant the tila-mantra invoking Soma and Svadhā, then cast sesame seeds as part of the Pitṛ offering.
