Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 72

हीनवर्णात्मवृत्तिश्च वैद्यो धर्मध्वजी च यः । यश्च शास्त्रमतिक्रम्य स्वेच्छयैवाहरेत्करम्

hīnavarṇātmavṛttiśca vaidyo dharmadhvajī ca yaḥ | yaśca śāstramatikramya svecchayaivāharetkaram

جو کمتر درجے کے طبقے کی پیشہ وری سے جیتا ہے؛ وہ طبیب جو دھرم کی پابندی کے بغیر عمل کرے؛ وہ ریاکار جو دین کو جھنڈا بنا کر دکھاوا کرے؛ اور وہ جو شاستروں کی حد توڑ کر اپنی مرضی سے ٹیکس وصول کرے—ایسے لوگ یہاں راست روی کے اصولوں کے توڑنے والے کہہ کر مذمت کیے گئے ہیں۔
