evaṃ bharatakhaṃḍe'sminṣaṇṇavatyeva koṭayaḥ | dvāsaptatistathā lakṣāḥ pattanānāṃ prakīrtitāḥ

یوں اس بھارت کھنڈ میں چھیانوے کروڑ (مقدس تقسیمات/آبادیاں) کہی گئی ہیں؛ اور اسی طرح بہتر لاکھ پٹّن (شہر) بھی روایت میں مذکور و معلن ہیں۔
