कृत्वैतन्नश्यते कीर्तिर्यावदाचंद्रतारकम् । एवं संचिंत्य बहुधा गत्वा चैव वनांतरम्
kṛtvaitannaśyate kīrtiryāvadācaṃdratārakam | evaṃ saṃciṃtya bahudhā gatvā caiva vanāṃtaram
“اگر میں یہ کروں تو میری نیک نامی—جو چاند اور تاروں تک قائم رہنے والی تھی—مٹ جائے گی۔” یوں بار بار سوچتے ہوئے وہ جنگل کے اندرونی گہرے حصّے کی طرف چلا گیا۔
