ततः खड्गेन च शिरश्छेत्तुमैच्छदमर्षणः । ततः कलकलो जज्ञे देवानां सुमहांस्तदा । कुजंभस्य वशं प्राप्तं दृष्ट्वा निरृतिमाहवे
tataḥ khaḍgena ca śiraśchettumaicchadamarṣaṇaḥ | tataḥ kalakalo jajñe devānāṃ sumahāṃstadā | kujaṃbhasya vaśaṃ prāptaṃ dṛṣṭvā nirṛtimāhave
پھر غضبناک نے تلوار سے اس کا سر کاٹنے کا ارادہ کیا۔ اسی گھڑی دیوتاؤں میں بڑا شور اٹھا، کیونکہ انہوں نے میدانِ جنگ میں نررتی کو کُجَمبھ کے قابو میں گرا ہوا دیکھا۔
