शतघ्नीं पातयामास तस्या उपरि दानवः । शक्तिं चिच्छेद सा देवी मातंगी च शुभानना
śataghnīṃ pātayāmāsa tasyā upari dānavaḥ | śaktiṃ ciccheda sā devī mātaṃgī ca śubhānanā
دانَو نے اُس پر شتگھنی گرا دی؛ مگر خوش رُو دیوی ماتنگی نے اُس شکتی (نیزے) کو کاٹ کر ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر دیا۔
