Skanda (deduced from Revā Khaṇḍa narrative style within Skanda Purāṇa)
Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā) — Kṛpā aspect
Type: kshetra
Scene: Beings struggling in a dark ocean labeled ‘saṃsāra’ are lifted toward a radiant river-bank where Revā as Kṛpā shines; the scene shifts to a Kṛta-yuga vision with celestial mandāra blossoms raining over her waters.
The river is praised as salvific mercy itself—lifting beings from saṃsāra—while her sanctity is timeless, extending back to the Kṛta-yuga.
Revā/Narmadā as a pan-Indian tīrtha whose holiness is described across cosmic ages.
No direct prescription; the verse supports tīrtha-sevā through remembrance, praise, and reverence for the river’s sanctity.
