Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
पादेनार्थस्य पारत्र्यं कुर्यात् सञ्चयमात्मवान् ।
अर्धेन चात्मभरणं नित्यनैमित्तिकान्वितम् ॥
pādenārthasya pāratryaṃ kuryāt sañcayam ātmavān | ardhena cātmabharaṇaṃ nityanaimittikānvitam ||
ضبطِ نفس رکھنے والے کو اپنے مال کا چوتھائی حصہ پرلوک کے لیے (اعمالِ صالحہ اور خیرات کی صورت میں) محفوظ و صرف کرنا چاہیے۔ آدھے حصے سے وہ اپنے اور اپنے گھرانے کی کفالت کرے اور نِتیہ و نَیمِتِک فرائض بھی ادا کرے۔
