तत्र मर्त्यैः क्रिया सर्वाः क्रियते न मखोद्भवाः । यस्मात्स यज्ञपुरुषो न सुप्तो भागमश्नुते

Transliteration

tatra martyaiḥ kriyā sarvāḥ kriyate na makhodbhavāḥ | yasmātsa yajñapuruṣo na supto bhāgamaśnute

Translation

Sa panahong iyon, magagawa ng mga tao ang lahat ng karaniwang ritwal, ngunit ang mga dakilang handog na mula sa makha ay hindi isinasagawa—sapagkat ang Panginoon na siyang Yajña-Puruṣa ay hindi tumatanggap ng Kanyang bahagi habang Siya’y natutulog.
