शुक्लपक्षं समासाद्य तारापतिरिवांबरे । वर्धमानस्य तस्यैवमतीताः पंच वत्सराः । बालक्रीडाप्रसक्तस्य पितुरुत्सङ्गवर्तिनः
śuklapakṣaṃ samāsādya tārāpatirivāṃbare | vardhamānasya tasyaivamatītāḥ paṃca vatsarāḥ | bālakrīḍāprasaktasya piturutsaṅgavartinaḥ
Gaya ng maliwanag na kalahati ng buwan na lumalaki, na wari’y panginoon ng mga bituin sa langit, gayon din lumaki ang bata; at lumipas ang limang taon—habang siya’y nahuhumaling sa larong pambata at nananatili sa kandungan ng kanyang ama.
