अस्मत्कुले मृता ये च गतिर्येषां न विद्यते । रौरवे चांधतामिस्रे कालसूत्रे च ये गताः । तेषामुद्धरणार्थाय इमं पिंडं ददाम्यहम्

asmatkule mṛtā ye ca gatiryeṣāṃ na vidyate | raurave cāṃdhatāmisre kālasūtre ca ye gatāḥ | teṣāmuddharaṇārthāya imaṃ piṃḍaṃ dadāmyaham

เพื่อผู้ล่วงลับในตระกูลของเรา ผู้ซึ่งไม่ปรากฏคติไปข้างหน้า—ผู้ที่ตกไปสู่เราเรวะ อันธตา มิศระ หรือกาลสูตร—เพื่อการกู้พ้นของท่านเหล่านั้น ข้าพเจ้าขอถวายปิณฑะนี้
