anekayātanāsaṃsthāḥ pretalokeṣu ye gatāḥ | teṣāmuddharaṇārthāya imaṃ piṃḍaṃ dadāmyaham

เพื่อผู้ที่ไปสู่โลกแห่งเปรต (เปรตโลก) และตั้งอยู่ท่ามกลางความทรมานนานาประการ—เพื่อการปลดปล่อยของท่านเหล่านั้น ข้าพเจ้าขอถวายปิณฑะนี้
