Īśvara
Tirtha: Hareḥ-gṛha at Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Listener: The audience within the Purāṇic frame (implicit)
Scene: A brāhmaṇa in white, compassionate and focused, performs śrāddha in a Viṣṇu temple courtyard: kuśa grass, piṇḍas, water libations; each preta’s rite is done separately, with orderly ritual implements laid out.
Compassion expressed through correct ritual action—performed carefully for each being—becomes a concrete instrument of spiritual uplift.
The ‘abode of Hari’ (a Vaiṣṇava sacred locus) is highlighted within the Prabhāsa Māhātmya narrative.
Śrāddha should be performed distinctly for each departed person (ekaikasya pṛthak pṛthak).
