ययातिरुवाच । किमर्थं भगवन्वह्निः पुरा नष्टो द्विजोत्तम । कथं तत्रैव लब्धस्तु कौतुकं मे महामुने
yayātiruvāca | kimarthaṃ bhagavanvahniḥ purā naṣṭo dvijottama | kathaṃ tatraiva labdhastu kautukaṃ me mahāmune
ยยาติกล่าวว่า: “ข้าแต่ภควัน ด้วยเหตุใดวหฺนิ (ไฟ) จึงสูญหายในกาลก่อน โอ้ทวิชผู้ประเสริฐ? และเหตุใดจึงได้พบ ณ ที่นั้นเองอีกครั้ง? โอ้มหามุนี ความพิศวงนี้เกิดขึ้นในใจข้าพเจ้า”
