अहमग्नौ करिष्यामि होमं पितृसमुद्भवम् । अनुज्ञा दीयतां मह्यमपसव्याश्रितस्य भोः
ahamagnau kariṣyāmi homaṃ pitṛsamudbhavam | anujñā dīyatāṃ mahyamapasavyāśritasya bhoḥ
“ข้าพเจ้าจักประกอบโหมะในไฟ อันเกิดเพื่อปิตฤทั้งหลาย ขอท่านผู้ควรบูชาโปรดประทานอนุญาตแก่ข้าพเจ้า—ข้าพเจ้าตั้งอยู่ในอาการอปสัวยะอันเหมาะแก่พิธีบรรพชน”
