यदन्नं पुरुषोऽश्नाति तदन्नास्तस्य देवताः । बाढमित्येव ते प्रोच्य गताः स्वंस्वं निकेतनम्

yadannaṃ puruṣo'śnāti tadannāstasya devatāḥ | bāḍhamityeva te procya gatāḥ svaṃsvaṃ niketanam

อาหารใดที่มนุษย์บริโภค อาหารนั้นเองย่อมเป็นที่รับได้แก่เทวะผู้เกี่ยวข้องกับเขา ครั้นกล่าวว่า “บาฑัม—เป็นเช่นนั้นเถิด” แล้ว พวกเขาก็ยินยอมและจากไป ต่างกลับสู่ที่พำนักของตน
