brahmovāca | kimarthaṃ pitaraḥ sarve samāyātā mamāṃtikam | devatānāṃ mayā sārdhaṃ saṃpūjyāḥ sarvadā sthitāḥ
Brahmā (Vidhī/Kamalāsana)
Listener: Pitṛs (collective)
Scene: Brahmā in a luminous sabhā questions the assembled Pitṛs who stand with a subdued group of human spirits; devas are implied as co-worshipped presences, creating a layered celestial court.
Purāṇic dharma places Pitṛs among the venerable powers; honoring them is aligned with honoring the gods.
This verse is dialogic and cosmological; it does not name a specific tīrtha in this line.
No specific rite is prescribed here; it affirms the principle that Pitṛs are always worthy of worship (pūjā) along with devatās.
