ब्रह्मणः स्पर्धया येन पुरा सृष्टिर्द्विजोत्तमाः । प्रारब्धा च ततो देवैः प्रणिपत्य निवारितः
brahmaṇaḥ spardhayā yena purā sṛṣṭirdvijottamāḥ | prārabdhā ca tato devaiḥ praṇipatya nivāritaḥ
โอ้ท่านผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่ทวิชะ ด้วยความประชันกับพระพรหม ครั้งกาลก่อนเขาได้เริ่มการสร้างสรรพสิ่งขึ้น; แล้วเหล่าเทพได้กราบนอบน้อมและทูลวิงวอนจนทรงยับยั้งการนั้น
