ग्रहाणां भास्करो यद्वन्नक्षत्राणां निशाकरः । तद्वत्स्थानजविप्राणां श्रेष्ठोऽष्टकुलिकः स्मृतः
grahāṇāṃ bhāskaro yadvannakṣatrāṇāṃ niśākaraḥ | tadvatsthānajaviprāṇāṃ śreṣṭho'ṣṭakulikaḥ smṛtaḥ
ดุจภาสกร (สุริยะ) เป็นประธานในหมู่ดาวเคราะห์ และนิศากร (จันทรา) เป็นยอดในหมู่ดวงดาว ฉันนั้น ในหมู่พราหมณ์ชาวถิ่นแห่งสถานศักดิ์สิทธิ์นั้น อัษฏกุลิกะย่อมถูกระลึกว่าเป็นผู้ประเสริฐที่สุด
