brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | niṣparigrahadharmāṇo vānaprasthā vayaṃ dvijāḥ | sadyaḥprakṣālakāḥ kiṃ no rājyena vibhavena ca

พราหมณ์ทั้งหลายกล่าวว่า: “พวกเราคือทวิชะผู้ถือวานปรัสถะ ตั้งมั่นในธรรมแห่งความไม่ยึดครอง เราชำระตนได้ฉับพลัน แล้วเราจะต้องการราชอาณาจักรหรือความรุ่งเรืองทางโลกไปไย?”
