अभिगम्योत्तमं दानं यच्च दानमयाचितम् । भविष्यति युगस्यान्तस्तस्यान्तो नैव विद्यते
abhigamyottamaṃ dānaṃ yacca dānamayācitam | bhaviṣyati yugasyāntastasyānto naiva vidyate
ทานที่ผู้ให้ไปหาและมอบด้วยตนเองนั้นประเสริฐที่สุด; และทานที่ให้โดยมิได้ถูกขอก็เป็นทานอันน่าสรรเสริญยิ่ง. แม้กัลป์ยุคจะสิ้นสุดลง แต่ที่สุดแห่งบุญนั้นหาได้ปรากฏไม่.
