tato'nyadivase vahnirdvijarūpo mahātapāḥ | rājānaṃ prārthayāmāsa raho gatvā śanaiḥ śanaiḥ

ครั้นถึงวันถัดมา พระอัคนี (วหฺนิ) ผู้เป็นมหาตบะ แปลงกายเป็นพราหมณ์ เข้าไปเฝ้าพระราชา แล้วทูลขอเป็นการส่วนพระองค์อย่างเงียบ ๆ
