जुहावाग्नौ तु सा देवी ह्यात्मानं प्राणसंज्ञिकम् । आत्मानं भस्मसात्कृत्वा प्रालेयाद्रेस्ततः सुता

juhāvāgnau tu sā devī hyātmānaṃ prāṇasaṃjñikam | ātmānaṃ bhasmasātkṛtvā prāleyādrestataḥ sutā

แล้วเทวีนั้นได้บูชาตนเอง—คือชีวิตของตน—ลงในไฟบูชา ครั้นทำกายของตนให้เป็นเถ้าถ่านแล้ว ต่อมานางได้บังเกิดเป็นธิดาแห่งหิมาลัย (ภูเขาปราเลยะ)
