tasmātsatīti saṃjajña iyamindīvarekṣaṇā | yajatastasya deveśa tava mānāvakhaṇḍanāt
Māṇḍavya
Tirtha: Dakṣa-yajña-smṛti-sthāna (archetype)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A grand Vedic sacrifice: fire-altars, priests, offerings—yet a tense moment where Śiva’s honor is publicly slighted. Satī, lotus-eyed, stands resolute, her face a blend of grief and unwavering dharma, as the atmosphere darkens with impending consequence.
Dharma is not mere ritual: a sacrifice devoid of reverence becomes a cause of downfall; devotion and honor toward the divine are essential.
The verse is mythic-historical within the Revā-khaṇḍa flow, supporting the sanctity of the local Śiva–Devī setting rather than naming a separate tīrtha.
None prescribed; yajña is referenced as the setting of the offense.
