गृहं धर्मार्थकामानां कारणं देव संमतम् । तदास्थायाश्रमं पुण्यं मां श्रेयसि नियोजय

gṛhaṃ dharmārthakāmānāṃ kāraṇaṃ deva saṃmatam | tadāsthāyāśramaṃ puṇyaṃ māṃ śreyasi niyojaya

ข้าแต่เทพเจ้า คฤหัสถ์อาศรมเป็นเหตุแห่งธรรม อรรถ และกาม อันเป็นที่ยอมรับของเทวะทั้งหลาย ดังนั้นขอทรงสถาปนาอาศรมอันเป็นบุญนั้น แล้วโปรดแต่งตั้งข้าพเจ้าไว้ในหนทางสู่ศฺเรยัสอันสูงสุด
