स्मरामि देवं हृदि चिन्तयित्वा प्रभुं शरण्यं जलसंनिविष्टः । नमामि देवं शरणं प्रपद्ये ध्यानं च तस्येति कृतं मया च

smarāmi devaṃ hṛdi cintayitvā prabhuṃ śaraṇyaṃ jalasaṃniviṣṭaḥ | namāmi devaṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadye dhyānaṃ ca tasyeti kṛtaṃ mayā ca

เมื่อจมอยู่ในสายน้ำ ข้าพเจ้าน้อมจิตระลึกถึงพระผู้เป็นเจ้าในดวงใจ—พระผู้เป็นนาย ผู้ทรงเป็นที่พึ่งแท้ ข้าพเจ้าได้กราบนมัสการพระองค์ เข้าถึงพระองค์เป็นสรณะ และตั้งมั่นในสมาธิภาวนาต่อพระองค์—ดังนี้แลที่ข้าพเจ้าได้กระทำ
