vedopavedavedāṅgādīnyabhivyasya pūritaḥ | aṣṭādaśapurāṇānāṃ vaktā satyavatīsutaḥ

ครั้นได้แจกแจงพระเวท อุปเวท และเวทางคะเป็นต้นโดยครบถ้วนแล้ว โอรสแห่งสัตยวตี (วยาสะ) จึงเป็นผู้แสดงปุราณะทั้งสิบแปด
