Narada (phala-śruti style declaration within the Anukramanika section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It states the phala (result) of the text/teaching: constant recitation or listening generates comprehensive merit (puṇya), gives rise to siddhis (spiritual attainments), and destroys sins (pāpa).
By emphasizing śravaṇa (hearing) and pāṭha (recitation), it highlights core devotional disciplines—regular engagement with sacred narration that purifies the mind and supports sustained bhakti.
It underscores the practical discipline of correct pāṭha and śravaṇa—skills supported by Śikṣā (phonetics) and Vyākaraṇa (grammar) to preserve accurate recitation and comprehension.
