एतच्चान्यच्च सततं चिन्तयामास पार्थिवः ।

तत्र विप्राश्रमाभ्याशे वैश्यामेकं ददर्श सः ॥

etac cānyac ca satataṃ cintayāmāsa pārthivaḥ /

tatra viprāśramābhyāśe vaiśyam ekaṃ dadarśa saḥ

เมื่อพระราชาทรงครุ่นคิดถึงเรื่องนี้และเรื่องอื่น ๆ อยู่เนืองนิตย์ ก็ทอดพระเนตรเห็นพ่อค้าคนหนึ่งใกล้อาศรมของพราหมณ์
