Sukta 81
यद् द्याव इन्द्र ते शतं शतं भूमिरुत स्युः । न त्वा वज्रिन्त्सहस्रं सूर्या अनु न जातमष्ट रोदसी
yád dyā́va indra te śatáṃ śatáṃ bhū́mir utá syúḥ | ná tvā vajrin sahásraṃ sū́ryā ánu ná jātám aṣṭá ródasī ||
Though there were for thee, O Indra, a hundred and a hundred heavens, and earths likewise—yet should not a thousand suns in succession match thee, O Vajrin, nor what is born within the two worlds.
ఓ ఇంద్రా! నీ కొరకు వంద వంద ఆకాశాలూ, అలాగే వంద వంద భూములూ ఉన్నా, ఓ వజ్రిన్! వరుసగా ఉదయించే వెయ్యి సూర్యులూ నిన్ను సమానించలేవు; అలాగే ద్యావా–పృథివి అనే రెండు లోకాలలో జన్మించేదేదీ నీతో సమానం కాదు.
