उ॒द॒न्वती॒ द्यौर॑व॒मा पी॒लुम॒तीति॑ मध्य॒मा। तृ॒तीया॑ ह प्र॒द्यौरिति॒ य॑स्यां पि॒तर॒ आस॑ते

IAST Transliteration

udánvatī dyáur avamā́ pī́lumatī́ íti madhyamā́ | tṛtī́yā ha pradyáur íti yásyāṃ pitára āsate ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

‘Watery’ is the lowest heaven; ‘Pīlumatī,’ so they call the middle; the third, verily, is ‘Pradyauḥ’—that wherein the Fathers sit established.

Translation

‘ఉదన్వతీ’ (జలవతి) అతి దిగువ స్వర్గం; ‘పీలుమతీ’ అని వారు మధ్యమాన్ని అంటారు. మూడవది నిజంగా ‘ప్రద్యౌః’—అందులో పితృలు ఆసీనులై ఉంటారు.
