भविष्यति कुलच्छेदः शैथिल्यान्मम दुर्मतेः । गुरुपत्न्या च संदृष्ट उत्तंको दुःखितस्तदा
bhaviṣyati kulacchedaḥ śaithilyānmama durmateḥ | gurupatnyā ca saṃdṛṣṭa uttaṃko duḥkhitastadā
“என் சோம்பலும் தீய அறிவும் காரணமாக என் குலம் அறுந்து போகும்.” என்று கூறி, குருபத்னியால் காணப்பட்ட உத்தங்கன் அப்போது துயரால் ஆட்கொள்ளப்பட்டான்।
