दोषाणां च गुणानां च प्रमाणं प्रविभागतः । उभयार्थमपि प्रेक्ष्य सा संख्येत्युपधार्यताम्
doṣāṇāṃ ca guṇānāṃ ca pramāṇaṃ pravibhāgataḥ | ubhayārthamapi prekṣya sā saṃkhyetyupadhāryatām
குற்றங்களும் குணங்களும் எவ்வளவு என்பதைக் சரியான பிரிவுகளால் அளந்து, இரு பக்கங்களையும் நோக்கி, அதையே ‘ஸங்க்யா’ (எண்ணிக்கை/கணிப்பு) என்று அறிய வேண்டும்।
