अस्मिन्गोत्रे भवा विप्रा दुष्टाः कुटिलगामिनः । धनिनो धर्मनिष्ठाश्च वेदवेदांगपारगाः
asmingotre bhavā viprā duṣṭāḥ kuṭilagāminaḥ | dhanino dharmaniṣṭhāśca vedavedāṃgapāragāḥ
இந்த கோத்திரத்தில் சில பிராமணர்கள் தீயவர்களாகவும் வஞ்சக நடையுடையவர்களாகவும் காணப்படுகின்றனர்; அதேவேளை சிலர் செல்வமிக்கவர்களாக, தர்மநிஷ்டையுடன், வேதமும் வேதாங்கங்களும் அறிந்தவர்களாகவும் உள்ளனர்।
