बहुलश्चन्द्र इत्येष ह्लादने धातुरुच्यते शुक्लत्वे चामृतत्वे च शीतत्वे च विभाव्यते
Transliteration
bahulaścandra ityeṣa hlādane dhāturucyate śuklatve cāmṛtatve ca śītatve ca vibhāvyate
Translation
‘பஹுல’ என்றும் ‘சந்திர’ என்றும்—இந்தப் பெயர் ‘ஹ்லாத’ (மகிழ்விக்க) என்னும் தாதுவிலிருந்து தோன்றியது எனக் கூறப்படுகிறது. இதன் பொருள் வெண்மை, அமிர்தமய அமரத்துவம், மற்றும் குளிர்ச்சித் தன்மை என உணரப்படுகிறது।
