अनु प्रत्नस्यौकसः प्रियमेधास एषाम्। पूर्वामनु प्रयतिं वृक्तबर्हिषो हितप्रयस आशत

IAST Transliteration

ánu pratnásyaukásaḥ priyámédhāsa eṣām | pū́rvām ánu práyatiṃ vṛ́ktabarhiṣo hitáprayasa āśata

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Following the ancient seat, these dear-offerers—having strewn the grass and set the oblations—attained, in accordance with the former course, the appointed rite’s successful end.

பண்டைய ஆசனம்/இருப்பிடத்தைப் பின்பற்றி, இவர்கள் பிரிய-மேதாஸ் (பிரிய ஹவியை அர்ப்பணிப்போர்) — பர்ஹிஸ் (குசப் புல்) விரித்து, ஹித-ப்ரயஸ் (ஆஹுதிகளை) அமைத்து — முன்னோர் வழிக்கேற்ப நியமிக்கப்பட்ட யாக-கிரியைச் சித்தியாக, அதாவது கருமத்தின் வெற்றியுடனான முடிவை அடைந்தனர்.
