Adhyaya 21 — Kuvalayashva’s Descent to Patala and the Rescue of Madalasa
पुत्रेण नातिशयितो यः प्रज्ञादानविक्रमैः ।
धिग्जन्म तस्य यः पित्रा लोके विज्ञायते नरः ॥
putreṇa nātiśayito yaḥ prajñādānavikramaiḥ / dhigjanma tasya yaḥ pitrā loke vijñāyate naraḥ
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬੁੱਧੀ, ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੀਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਦਾ—ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਨੂੰ ਧਿੱਕਾਰ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੇਵਲ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
