Adhyaya 21 — Householder's Dharma
त्वां पुत्रमीदृशं प्राप्य श्लाघ्यः पुण्यवतामपि ।
न स पुत्रकृतां प्रीतिं मन्ये प्राप्नोति मानवः ॥
tvāṃ putram īdṛśaṃ prāpya ślāghyaḥ puṇyavatām api / na sa putrakṛtāṃ prītiṃ manye prāpnoti mānavaḥ
ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੁੰਨਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਸਲਾਹਯੋਗ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਐਸਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਜਨਿਤ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
