Praise of the Sacred Geography of Mathurā
पिण्डदानात्तु तत्रैव पितृलोके स गच्छति ॥ गया पिण्डप्रदानेन यत्फलं लभते नरः ॥ तत्फलं लभते देवि ज्येष्ठे दानान्न संशयः ॥
piṇḍadānāt tu tatraiva pitṛloke sa gacchati || gayā piṇḍapradānena yatphalaṃ labhate naraḥ || tatphalaṃ labhate devi jyeṣṭhe dānān na saṃśayaḥ ||
Dengan mempersembahkan piṇḍa di sana juga, dia pergi ke Pitṛloka, alam para leluhur. Apa jua hasil yang diperoleh manusia dengan mempersembahkan piṇḍa di Gayā, hasil yang sama, wahai Dewi, diperoleh pada bulan Jyeṣṭha melalui dāna; tiada keraguan.
